When frequently laid-off Walt (Shameik Moore) takes a job as a barman and shoe shiner at his local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. With AlleyCatz facing financial trouble, former bowler and current champion drunk Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) pressures Walt to embrace his role as the greatest bowler to ever walk the earth. While Walt’s love of big checks and in-your-face style of play dominates the Pro Tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angel Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Courson (Susan Sarandon), are desperate to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
